Government Affairs

The Valley Hotel & Resort Association monitors a variety of local, city and state governmental issues with a potential to impact our hotels, employees or industry as a whole. In partnership with the many Convention & Visitors Bureaus around the Valley, as well as the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association, the Arizona Office of Tourism, the Arizona Tourism Alliance and countless other partners, we stay abreast of current issues and can quickly mobilize our members for action when necessary.

As one of the Valley’s and the state’s largest employers and tax generators, hotels and resorts are often the first to feel the impacts of government decisions and, therefore, it’s our responsibility to educate our elected officials on how their decisions could or would impact the Valley’s visitor experience.
